Sobre a edição 2005 Ruralidade, paisagem, memória: o fluxo de projecções e debates do seminário de 2005 passa privilegiadamente por estes pólos ou tem neles especiais pontos de partida. Propomo-los como matéria(s) de cinema – e, nesse sentido, sugerimos que se traduzam também, desde o início, por temas como olhar, interlocução (confronto com a câmara), movimento, trabalho sobre o espaço, trabalho sobre o tempo. Pelo caminho, abrimos portas para outros pequenos-grandes mundos, que são outras tantas pistas para conversas futuras: a iniciação à imagem, a imagem de arquivo, o território do cinema no território da imagem. A terminar, antes do balanço final, propomos ainda um regresso a alguns daqueles primeiros temas por dentro do que foi algum do mais forte cinema português. Rural life, landscape, memory : these are the poles and starting points around which the series of debates and projections that make up this year’s seminar gravitate and flow. We offer them as the subject matter(s) of cinema – and we therefore suggest that they also be translated, right from the start, through themes such as gaze, interaction (confronting the camera), movement, work upon space, and work upon time. Along the way we will open doors upon other worlds, both large and small, which offer prospects for future debates: initiation to images, archival images, and the territory of cinema within the territory of images. As a conclusion, before our final assessment, we would also encourage a return to some of the themes which extend throughout a number of the brightest examples of Portuguese cinema. An example, for a debate that we have no wish restricting to the matter at hand. |
