Sobre a edição 2007: A circulação da palavra Como ponto de partida desta edição, buscámos a função e a força da palavra. A palavra lida, a palavra dita, a voz, o texto. Dentro e fora de campo. O monólogo, o diálogo, a conversa, a entrevista, a palavra em circulação. Como a palavra se instala com a imagem, como se inscreve nela ou se confronta com ela. Propomo-lo como exercício de reaprendizagem, contra o automatismo e a banalização do discurso verbal. E, de novo, propomo-lo juntamente com actos de descoberta – de filmes e de universos de autor. Haverá tempo para mergulhar em universos pessoais, oriundos de territórios muito diferentes, e haverá um convite para viajar entre eles, escutando os ecos que possam surgir. E haverá ainda cruzamentos pontuais com autores não presentes, ou títulos históricos convocados pela sua força vital. A palavra, então, não como tema exclusivo, mas como sugestão de partida. Um ponto de partida, não necessariamente o ponto de chegada. On the 2007 edition: The circulation of the word
As the starting point of this edition, we looked for the function and the power of the word. The word read, the spoken word, the voice, the text. In and off. The monologue, the dialogue, the talk, the interview, the circulating word. How the word installs itself with the image, how it inscribes in it or confronts with it. We propose it as a process of learning again, against the automatism and vulgarization of verbal speech. And, once more, we propose it jointly with the act of discovery – of films and of personal universes. There will be time to enter these individual paths, arising from very different territories, and also to intercross them, listening to their possible echoes. And still there will be room to meet films by absent filmmakers, including historical titles called for their vital power. The word, then, not as an exclusive theme, but as a starting suggestion. A starting point, not necessarily the one of arrival. |
